About the course

Deconstructing the Origins of Race, Racial Socialization and Trauma fills curricular gaps by contextualizing the creation of racial/ethnic inequities; providing tools for naming and supporting racial trauma in the workplace; and preparing to identify opportunities for allyship and accompliceship.

This course provides learners with framework and context to deconstruct the social, historical, and political context of the construct of race and the insidious legacy of racism.
The mechanisms of racial socialization are presented, as well as the implications of racial trauma on BIPOC lives.
