This course is designed to explore the concept of race as a socially constructed idea rather than a biological reality. This course delves into how race was created, given social value, and institutionalized over time, influencing societal structures and individual experiences.

Learners will explore racial socialization, the historical and systemic context that shaped it, and the lasting impacts of racial trauma on individuals and communities.
